Quality Assurance Analyst

We are looking for someone to help build a reliable QA process that ensures product quality.

The QA Analyst is responsible for helping to define our QA processes, design and implement tests, debug and define corrective actions, manage our release schedule, and be the first line of support for those that use our software. They will also review system requirements as well as come up with and track quality assurance metrics.   • Work with development team to define a set of QA processes that will help ensure a quality product
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing features to meet client needs
  • Communicate with internal teams (e.g Developers and Project Managers) to identify system requirements
  • Communicate with users on support questions and release information
  • Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts
  • Stay-up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies


The Right Type of Person:

  • Has an entrepreneurial spirit, craves taking on new endeavors and seeing them through completion
  • Proven work experience with software development
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and compressive test plans and cases
  • Hands on experience with automated testing tools
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance
  • Easily rolls with challenges and thrives on solving problems
