What happens when you have a ginormous warehouse with more than 100,000 college textbooks just laying around with nothing better to do? If you’re Neebo, you decide to give them away in one of the largest product free-for-alls to ever grace the Facebook platform.
But Neebo needed couldn’t do it alone so they asked Archrival if we would be their wingman. So, we developed a social marketing strategy for their colossal 100,000 textbook rental giveaway and worked with them to ready their digital properties for the promotion – revamping the Neebo.com homepage, their Facebook Page, Twitter presence and YouTube Channel into one consistent look and feel.
Next we developed a social microsite powered by Facebook social sign-on that facilitated the textbook rental giveaways, and a custom Facebook tab that explained the promotion to a national audience of college students. When it was all said and done – Neebo had given away $1.6 million worth of free textbook rentals, and picked up 20,000 Facebook fans in the process.
